Privet one step on

This comon privet (Ligustrum vulgaris) was collected in February 2010. Alreay it is into a much smaller pot, however the planting angle is wrong, next year I will rotate the tree to a better position in its pot (see the second image).
This tree grows very vigorously and I expect progress will be very fast (at least in bonsai terms, only five years or so to achieve a mature image).

Quercus begining to look good

Just over a year on from being reduced from a 2 metre nursery grown tree, this Turkey Oak (Quercus cerris) is starting to look convincing... plenty of work to be done yet though (and a decent pot to be chosen).

Trees in full leaf

Common Hornbeam (Carpinus betulis) and Field Maple (Acer campestre) with a full flush of new growth.
