Root over rock field maple, in a decade this will look good

Over the next decade I will be slowly building branches (through wiring, growing and cutting back extensions, and eventually pinching and partial defoliation) and selective thickening to develop taper andt get the roots to swell and bind to the rock, achieved by growing out sacrifice branches at strategic intervals.
